rebates and financing

How the Rebate Process Works

Step 1 — We check your address and utility provider

Most San Diego rebates require an active SDG&E electric account or another eligible California utility account.

Step 2 — We review your existing equipment

Rebate eligibility may depend on what you are replacing. For example, a heat pump water heater rebate may be different if you are replacing a gas water heater versus an electric water heater.

Step 3 — We select qualifying equipment

Not every unit qualifies. The equipment must meet the program requirements, such as efficiency rating, size, UEF, ENERGY STAR status, or qualified product list.

Step 4 — We confirm who submits the rebate

Depending on the program, the rebate may be submitted by:
the customer;
Omega Air;
a participating distributor;
a retailer;
or a program-approved contractor.

Step 5 — We provide documentation

When needed, we can provide invoice, model numbers, AHRI/ENERGY STAR information, installation details, and contractor license information.
