FAQ

Common questions

How long does the installation take?

A straight replacement of an existing system usually takes one full working day. Full system changes — such as a gas-to-heat-pump conversion, new ductwork, electrical upgrades or attic/roof installs — can take 2–3 days. Your exact timeframe is confirmed when we schedule.

Will I be without heating or cooling?

Only during the installation itself. Most homes have a working system again by the end of the first day. If your job runs longer, we will tell you in advance and make sure the home is left safe and closed up each evening.

Do I need to be home?

An adult (18+) should be home at arrival for a quick walkthrough and at the end for the system demonstration. In between, you are free to go about your day as long as our crew has access to the work areas and electrical panel.

What happens to my old equipment?

We remove and haul away all old equipment. Refrigerant is recovered by EPA-certified technicians — it is never vented into the air — and metals are recycled.

What if you find something unexpected during the job?

Occasionally we uncover hidden issues (damaged ducts, unsafe wiring, code violations behind walls). We will stop, show you photos, explain your options and give you a written price. No extra work is ever done without your written approval (a change order).

Can I change or cancel my project?

California law gives you a 3-business-day right to cancel after signing a home improvement contract. After that, changes are handled through a written change order. Just call us — we will work with you.

How does the warranty work?

We register your equipment with the manufacturer in your name, which is often required to receive the full parts warranty. You will receive your model and serial numbers and warranty documents by email.
